The Silver Bell campground located in the White River National Forest is one of the most beautiful campgrounds we have ever camped in. The area can definitely get busy as it is just down the road from Aspen, however, Silver Bell campground is small enough that it never feels to crowded. The campground does allow you to reserve a site ahead of time but most of the sites are walk in on a first come first serve basis. If you have the chance to camp here we believe the best site is number 13. It does not have as much tree cover around it but the view from your site is absolutely amazing.

If you are staying at the Silver Bell campgrounds you must visit Maroon Lake to view the peaks of Maroon Bells and the surrounding mountains. The lake attracts a large amount of visitors but still manages to have that peaceful feeling. The Maroon Bells area should be listed as a must visit in your lifetime kind of place. It truly is that beautiful.

Silver Bell Campground has a total of 14 campsites. Picnic Tables, Vault Toilets, Firegrates, Trash Disposal, and Potable Water are some of the amenities that are available for your use if you choose to stay here. Access to fishing areas and trails are available throughout the area. Those pictures are beautiful! I have heard about Maroon Bells but haven’t had the chance to camp there. My husband and I might have to add this to our list of trips for next summer. I’m guessing it is getting to cold to get up there this year still.
