We will NOT be attending Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show and neither should you!
Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show which will take place February 2nd through the 10th in Pennsylvania has announced they will no longer allow the display or sale of Modern Sporting Rifles or High-Capacity Magazines. Because of this we have decided not to attend the show and are very happy to see that others in the industry will be skipping it as well. Both small and large retailers and manufactures have decided that they don’t want to be a part of a show that clearly does not support the 2nd Amendment rights of Americans. The most notable of these retailers (and show sponsor) is Cabela’s
Now is not the time to be backing down and giving in to the people that want to take our 2nd Amendment rights away from us. We are proud to stand with Cabela’s

We have attended the Sportsman show for 20 years straight nothing ever stopped us from making it up their not even a snow storm. NOW when Reeds makes a VERY dumb move regarding our 2nd Amendment and our vendors and our hunting celebs pull out well that is the year we miss and most likely years to come. Or less Reeds is replaced.

Too far for me to attend, but I will hang onto this list and support these companies that support the 2nd. They put “what’s right” before profits and I appreciate that.
These venders need to be applauded. Looking at the whole picture other than the loss of revenue to the promoter, and who knows if that is not being paid my someone on the back end, the American people are the losers. The fact is they shut down a PRO 2nd amendment gathering down or the appearance of that. Just think of the publicity of the support of the 2nd with the use of t-shirts or other visual aids might have generated. We have to be careful on the “I am not going to play and take my ball home” idea or they win. I wish I had a platform system but due to a work injury I am not in a economic position to purchase but believe that everyone(legal) who desires should not have that right taken away.

We have attended the sports show for the last 15 years but we just canceled our six rooms in Harrisburg and won’t attend this year’s show. Instead we will be going to Cabelas in Wheeling, WV.

Thank you all for your support. This list has really grown over the last two days but it needs to get bigger. Keep the pressure on any vendors that are still attending the show. Let them know they will get a lot more support for pulling out then staying in with this show.

We need a similar approach to boycotting the selling of firearms and equipment to Law Enforcement or Federal Agencies located within any city or state that also wishes to trample the Second Amendment. (As Ronnie Barrett does with his Barrett rifles and the state of California).
A 30 round magazine is not a “high-capacity magazine” it is a standard capacity magazine.
The Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show has banned the display of even standard issue magazines.
I just wanted to say that my father and brother both are game hunters and have guns. Every year we look forward on going to the Outdoor show. (But not this year) My whole family are standing up for our rights of the 2nd amendment. I hope that others will follow and help support. Thank you
Any vendor that is still considering going to this show is basically throwing their business out the door. Most Americans will print off the list of vendors that did not go and they will support them as they are supporting our rights as gun owners. I can not believe that there are still 1088 vendors still participating in this show as of this morning. I am disappointed to see Chris Brackett still on the list of those attending, Hope he changes his mind.
Chris isn’t going to be there. I don’t think any of the celebrities are going.

Glad to see so many people putting it on the line to stop the attack on our 2nd amendment. We need everyone to keep the fight going, and even step it up a few notches here! Everyone should continue to send emails, letters, and faxes to every elected official in the nation daily! Even if it their letter or message says leave my 2nd amendment rights alone, send it every day. Mine says something to the effect of No New Gun Laws!
I know that if we overwhelm every elected official with messages letting them know we do not support any changes to Gun Laws, they will not pass anything. Also, if anyone else has taken notice lately, the gun grabbers all seem to be Democrats.
This is going to really hurt the smaller vendors that rely on this show to kick off their year. Their support shall not go unnoticed. We all should support the exhibitors that stand to lose the booth fees (that start around $2,500.00 and up) plus the loss of sales from the show. I am so proud of these people for sticking together to uphold our Constitutional Rights. Please, support them by boycotting this show as well as other Reed Exhibition venues.

I applaud all the venders and all the major corporations and celebrities that are standing up for what is constitutionally and morally right. Thes vendors and celebs. are now on my alltime favorites list.

I think at this point it doesn’t make sense to go after anyone that didn’t pull out before the show was canceled. Unless a company specifically said they were staying in no matter what then there is no way to tell if pulling out was in their plans. Pulling out of the show was a big decision for everyone that did it and some of these companies might have still been deciding if they could lose the money that they had already invested. There is no point in trying to hurt any of the vendors when Reed is the only company that needs to be boycotted.
Agreed, there are many huge companies that won’t lose a dime either way. It’s not their fault that Reed is the spoiler here.
If I had already paid my $2500 booth fee and couldn’t cancel by a cutoff date without loosing money then I wouldn’t….but there’s always next year.
Reed is a huge company and beleive me they don’t care. They run the exposition business.
Even though I’m in Texas and wouldn’t be at that show anyway, I will check this list of Americans and see what I can purchase from them. Thanks for having big cahonies!!
