Lets Help LEEK Hunting & Mountain Preserves Take Veterans Hunting

LEEK Hunting & Mountain PreserveWe all know by now that hundreds of vendors have pulled out of the Eastern Sports & Outdoor Show and that thousands of would be visitors have vowed not to attended. We are sure that any vendors still attending will see a loss on their investment and we are sure Reed Exhibitions will take a hit because of this boycott. We could really care less if Reed loses money on this show but there are some people we would really hate to see lose anything. In fact we want to see these people walk away from the show with hopefully the most money they have ever raised.

The people we are talking about are LEEK Hunting and Mountain Preserve. Their booth at the show isn’t so they can sell hunting gear and turn a profit. Their booth is so they can raise money to take Wounded Warriors hunting. Last year LEEK raised $5,000 and that was enough to take 6 wounded veterans to their Potter County Preserve for a hunt. This year LEEK was looking to raise even more money so they could help even more wounded veterans. With the show looking like it might turn out to be a ghost town it is possible that LEEK might lose out on their investment and most likely will not be raising any money to help these Wounded Warriors.

Since we have been a big part of the boycott of the ES&O Show we feel it is our responsibility to help LEEK raise the money that they will be missing out. We are asking anyone that reads this to go visit the LEEK page at http://leekpreserve.org/ and see if there is anyway that you can help out. We would love to see them raise as much money as possible but if you can’t afford it there are other ways to donate as well. You will see on their web page that they have a wish list of items that will help them out.

We all need to come together and make sure that LEEK doesn’t lose any money and that this boycott doesn’t hurt their fundraising. Lets see how many wounded veterans we can get out their in the field for some good hunting!
